Grabill is one of the best companies we ever have had working on not only our water heaters, but the heat and air conditioning as well. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and very respectful! The 3 workers that installed some shut off valves were very efficient and completed the job well before was anticipated. They didn't leave any trash, and actually left the work area cleaner than when they walked in. They definitely have all my business and I highly recommend Grabill for all your Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling needs!

Recently I had some issues with my radiant floor heat system that I wasn’t able to figure out. Alex and the other technicians at Grabill were a huge help in talking me through some of the steps I could take to troubleshoot the problem on my own and avoid the need for a service call. Most companies would have insisted on coming out just so they could charge me, but these guys didn’t! If I have any issues with my system in the future they’ll definitely be my first call!

Grabill earned a long-term customer due to their responsiveness, communication, and expertise in solving my problem. Read on for more. Woke up to no heat or domestic hot water on Sunday morning due to boiler shutting down with no signs of life. Gave my 'regular' HVAC company (not Grabill) a call (who has serviced the unit over last five years) and was told no one was available until Monday. Inconvenient but understandable. Technician showed up on Monday morning. Showed no sign of having ever worked with the boiler equipment in my basement. Spent an hour or two "diagnosing" the problem, then said he would have to call supervisor for more information. Spent an hour or so in the plumbing van parked on the street, then came in to say that they didn't know if boiler could be fixed, they needed to call distributor, and that it might take a while to get the parts. (Meanwhile outside temp is projected to be below freezing for the next several days, and having no hot water to shower, etc. is a little inconvenient). Oh, and he did spend some time talking about installing a new boiler unit. Next day, same company calls to tell me that it will be three weeks to get parts and several thousand dollars to fix the problem - in three weeks. Contrast that with Grabill. I called on Monday. They showed up on Monday afternoon (after other technician left). Graham demonstrated familiarity with the boiler. Within 30 minutes, he diagnosed the problem, had called their distributor to locate parts. Parts were shipped on Tuesday and arrived on Thursday. Service managers at the home office kept me informed along the way and told me my work ius a priority. Graham called at noon Thursday. I met him at the house. By 2:30 pm, the parts were installed and the boiler is back in service with hot water coming out of the taps. Again, the service, the expertise, the communication, and the professionalism demonstrated by everyone I connected with is the standard which I believe all tradespeople should be measured by.

To be fair, we never had a problem with this company. They will not over charge you, I like that the most. I deducted one star because of an unanswered question. I want to know whether or not the condition they left me is normally how they would leave their other customers. I was told the manager, field supervisor, and technician will show up on 5/11 morning to address my inquire. I was pleasantly surprised that they take their customers seriously and stand behind the work they do, except 5/11 came and go and no one showed up. No one answered their phone. It was a yes or no question. It really is ok to tell me that yes, your company leaves holes in the wall and expect your customer to know that without being informed. After their technicians (and later manager too) found out that this is my only shower on Wednesday. They proceed to work on Friday and only told us the holes in the wall is not their problem as they are walking out by 4pm Friday. Sent us the dry wall company referral on the following Monday and the wait time to fill the my walls would be 3 weeks. I'm at 1.5 weeks mark now. I can't wait!
